Berlin residents Atmogat release again on Crazy-Language their own distinct sound, with a typical flavor of the electronic music capital, delivering the goods with Neutro Bionic, a subtle but at the same time sumptuous piece of melancholic electronic music.
Wouldn’t be surprising that this is a small tone-shift compared to the duo’s previous endeavors, as they’ve always done but it’s sound is 100% Atmogat, with it’s long organic pads, mechanically crunch drums and plenty of winterscapes to tie it all up.
A release that fits like a glove onto Crazy-Language’s output and the diversity found in Neutro Bionic is proof of that: from the depths of old school repetition to the modern synthesis and countless possibilities found in modern software technologies, Atmogat are at the top of their game here. Powerful, dark and atmospheric IDM at its best. It's got all the eclectic glitch, echoic ambiance, and deep somber pads one could ask for. There's even a nice lining of well placed piano in spots. Excellent from front to back. Huron resides in a similar futuristic sci-fi vein to Access to Arasaka, but with a touch more rhythmic emphasis. So if you're already a fan of ATA, then you absolutely won't go wrong with this. Can't wait to hear what's next for Huron! Fahrenheight Nova
